Edward Diaper

Edward Diaper, fisherman was just 26 when he was sent to prison and then transported to Tasmania in 1847, for stealing rope and ballast from a boat.

 

He arrived in Tasmania aboard the prison ship Rodney in 1851 and was granted a conditional pardon in 1854. In 1868 Edward married Jane Scanlan and they had five children all born in Oatland, Tasmania.

  • Harriet born Oct 1 1877

It is probable Edward died in 1880.
